Well if the city’s fine range of clubs, bars and restaurants haven’t kept you happy there’s lots of alternatives to keep you on/off the straight and narrow.
For the full range you need to get your hand in your pocket and get your very own Dirty Stop Out’s Guide
Here’s a few ideas for now
.
Owlerton Stadium
Tel: 0114 234 3074
Penistone Road S6
www.owlertonstadium.co.uk

The sparkly new corporate box facilities with the best views in the stadium are a far cry from the situation in the early nineties when the venue was lucky to drag 900 through the turnstiles in any one week.
They’re notching up 5,000-plus these days, with women making up a good 50% of the audience on many nights, and even hold greyhound racing’s only Ladies Day.
If you’d rather swap four legs for two wheels, they’re also home to Pirtek Tigers and the Pirtek Prowlers speedway teams.
Racing takes place every Thursday night in the season, greyhound racing happens every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday night and every Monday and Thursday dinnertime.
If you really fancy making an event of it you can try Napoleons Owlerton Casino next door when you’ve said goodbye to the dogs.

Dancing Dollar
Tel: 0114 242 2434
429 Effingham Road S9
www.dancingdollar.co.uk

The city’s first foray into the world of lap-dancing. Situated in Attercliffe - home to sex supermarkets, the much publicised La Chambre swingers club and many a gay bar – the Dancing Dollar has weaved its way nicely into the Sheffield community without really upsetting anyone (a far cry from the city centre’s Spearmint Rhino which did little else but on its run-up to opening).
Run by former furniture warehouse owner Ron Unthank, the club holds regular charity nights, has a large pole, looks like a big, bright café bar inside and is situated in the former Planet nightclub building.
Does its bit for equality and has regular male strippers for the ladies as well.
Ju Ju Club

www.jujuclub.co.uk

Born in the winter of 1989 this world music club spent many years at Crookes Working Men’s Club where they fought – and helped win – equal rights for women.
These days they reside at The Boardwalk and also provide sounds for Headcharge and present the Live at Bukowski’s event at Bukowski’s Piano Bar.
They bring in musicians from around the globe and have a totally non-commercial vibe.
